Strangers

(In French)Two cultures in neighboring countries. Neither friend nor foe, each minding their own business. One day, disaster strikes one of the countries, forcing the inhabitants to flee and take refuge with their foreign neighbors.

Strangers is a life-size, non-verbal “abstract” LARP that uses gestures, pre-agreed signs and simple movement routines to create two cultures and the sense of belonging or not belonging to them. Strangers aims to explore refugees trying to integrate and the reactions of the people among whom they are trying to fit in.

This LARP focuses on movement, sensory experiences and physicality. Participants will be required to make physical contact during the GN. Participants are free to define the limits of these interactions during pre-game workshops.

To take part in this short LARP, no preparation is necessary, but we recommend that participants wear clothing that won’t restrict their movements. The game experience will consist of a pre-game workshop phase, a game phase, and a post-game workshop & debriefing phase.

TW: racism, xenophobia, immigration, uprooting, rejection, (non)-acceptance, physical contact.
