Bureau d’Étude Des Mécaniques de Jeu (Le BÉMJ)
(In French)The BEMJ activity revolves around brainstorming on game mechanics. The idea is to think about the different ways of mechanically implementing (through simple, clear and functional rules) an idea/effect/ambience in a game. You’re invited to come along if :
- You want to find a suitable mechanic for an idea you already have;
- You have a specific game mechanic you’d like to explore;
- You’ve encountered a mechanical malfunction on a game that you’d like to diagnose;
- You’d like to help the orgas work on other people’s projects.
- You are curious.
We’re going to present the BEMJ in the form it took during the previous sessions held at the last LaboGN. Then we’ll take a look at the problems participants have come up with.
